Many IT suppliers sell Managed Services, where a host of functions are provided to a client within one annual contract. Typically these are invoiced in the same way as support, where the client is billed and the money collected from the client up front.
Why not make this more manageable and palatable, by presenting this to the client as a monthly or quarterly payment? Again, you can do this as a one year agreement, or a multi-year wrap.
Typically we will provide our clients with a Fixed Term Lease agreement when funding software solutions. This gives the client the ability to claim Tax Relief. If a business is profitable and pays corporation tax, your overall spend can actually be less than the total cost of paying from capex. Our tax relief document explains this in more detail.
